Amid outrage over a journalist being charged for his video showing roti and salt being served to children at a school in Uttar Pradesh, a top official has added to the display of callousness with his comments.

Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Minister Satish Dwivedi on Monday condemned the filing of a first information report against a journalist who filmed students at a government school eating roti with salt as a part of their mid-day meal. Mr Dwivedi said he would initiate a probe in this regard.
