Goa government may increase the Value Added Tax (VAT) on tobacco products by a big percentage in the upcoming state budget, a senior official said today.

Cigarette smoking and consumption of other tobacco products will become costlier in Uttar Pradesh as the state government today decided to hike Value Added Tax (VAT) on them besides banning sale of loose cigarettes in the market.
