Apparently concerned over the political fallout of hurling of shoe at Home Minister P Chidambaram, Congress on Tuesday indicated it was open to review the candidatures of Jagdish Tytler and Sajjan Kumar.

It seems the anger among Sikhs could be back to haunt the Congress and controversial Congress candidate Jagdish Tytler might not contest these elections after all.

With his role in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots coming to the centrestage once again following the shoe hurling incident, Congress leader Jagdish Tytler on Tuesday decided to steer clear from the issue, saying for him the matter was "closed".
