Victoria Horses Rescued

Three unfit horses used to pull Victoria Carriages at Marine Drive in Mumbai were rescued after a complaint was filed by officials of PETA and an NGO with local police.

Overworked, poorly fed and forced to pull carriages - giving rides to hundreds of people every day - five 'Victoria' horses in Mumbai have been hospitalised. The horses have large wounds and protruding rib cages and pelvic bones, a sign of their poor health.
