In a rare appearance since shifting base to the United Kingdom, liquor baron Vijay Mallya was seen having a good time in London as he watched the Indian Premier League final between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad on Sunday.

A group of employees of crisis-hit Kingfisher today staged a "silent" protest ahead of the IPL match involving Royal Challenger Bangalore team, owned by liquor baron and airline promoter Vijay Mallya, against non-payment of salary for several months here.

The assurance came a day after a section of employees threatened to disrupt the matches of Royal Challenger Bangalore (RCB), owned by Mr. Mallya, in the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL).

Frustrated over not getting salary for last 10 months, Kingfisher Airlines employees today asked the government to prosecute promoter Vijay Mallya and threatened to disrupt IPL matches.

While their cricket teams were battling it out against one another, co-owners of F1 team Sahara Force India - Subroto Roy and Vijay Mallya - were seen obliging photographers with their drivers - Paul di Resta and Nico Hulkenberg.
