Aparna Iyer has been appointed as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of WIPRO after Jatin Dalal stepped down from the post to pursue other opportunities. She has been associated with the IT services provider for over 20 years.

Indian IT services provider Wipro said on Thursday that Jatin Dalal has resigned as chief financial officer to pursue other opportunities after more than two decades with the company.

"The government should get leaders from the tech industry to be the CIO," said Former Infosys CFO V Balakrishnan.

Myntra, a Flipkart Group company, announced the appointment of Dipanjan Basu as the CFO.

Wipro, India's third largest software services firm, on Wednesday said it has roped in financial and business strategist Patrick Dupuis as an independent member on its board.

Suresh Senapaty is retiring as the chief financial officer of Wipro after more than three decades with the company.

CFO Suresh Senapaty also saw his pay package dip in FY12 to Rs 1.8 crore from Rs 4.3 crore.
