Woman Hides Gold

A female passenger was detained with over 618 grams of pure gold worth Rs 30.64 lakh at Jaipur International Airport on Wednesday, a Customs official said.

Gold in paste form, valued at Rs 58.16 lakh, was seized from a woman Sudanese passenger at the international airport here on Tuesday, Customs officials said.

A woman has been arrested for allegedly trying to smuggle into the country gold valuing about Rs 61 lakh by hiding it inside denim shorts worn by her at Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) in New Delhi.
