Woman Inspector Found Murdered

A woman inspector has been brutally murdered in a police transit hostel in Uttar Pradesh's Bareilly.

An elderly woman was found murdered at her residence in Thane today, police said. 65-year-old Vasanti Shekar Roy was alone at home in Nalla Sopara area at the time of the incident on Friday. Her son and daughter-in-law, who stayed with her, had gone to office, Inspector Mukund Mahajan of Nalla Sopara Police Station said.
