Woman Jumps Off Metro Station

A woman died after she jumped off an elevated platform at the Uttam Nagar West Metro Station onto the road below on Thursday afternoon, police said.

A woman, in her early twenties, who jumped off a 40-foot high elevated platform of the Akshardham Metro station in Delhi on Thursday morning died at a city hospital later in the day.

A 24-year-old woman committed suicide Monday morning by leaping off an elevated metro station here onto the road below, police said. Karishma Narang, a teacher in a private school, jumped down onto the road from east Delhi's Preet Vihar metro station around 8 a.m.
