Woman Tries To Smuggle Ganja

A 47-year-old woman was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly attempting to smuggle ganja into the Viyyur Central Jail, where her son is an inmate, an official said.

Three women have been arrested for allegedly trying to smuggle ganja into the Central prison here, police said today. The woman, relatives of prisoners, had come to the prison yesterday and on checking them, jail wardens found the contraband concealed in biscuit packets.
