An 18-year-old girl was allegedly raped after being dragged to an isolated area by an unidentified man in Dombivli area of Thane district on the outskirts of Mumbai. A case of rape has been registered at the Manpada Police Station.

Around 27000 workers of the Neyveli Lignite Corporation (NLC) have announced an indefinite strike asking the centre to revoke its decision to sell five per cent of its stakes in NLC.
