Ten tribal MLAs from Manipur have written to Home Minister Amit Shah asking him to speed up the political dialogue for "recognition of ethnic separation" from the violence-hit northeast state.

Amid allegations that MLAs supporting VK Sasikala were being kept in illegal detention, the Madras High Court was informed on Monday that 119 MLAs have given in writing they were staying on their "own volition".
