A former Yahoo software engineer has pleaded guilty to hacking personal accounts of thousands of Yahoo users searching for their sexual images and videos.

Yahoo released its definitive proxy statement Monday, which spelled out the deal for shareholders.

"As we enter our final quarter as an independent company, we are committed to finishing strong and planning for the best possible integration with Verizon," Mayer said.

Regulator said it is preparing to give Yahoo the results of an investigation into the 2014 theft of data from 500 million users.
