An arms depot explosion in Yemen has killed 22 soldiers from the United Arab Emirates, in the country's heaviest loss since joining an Arab coalition battling Shiite rebels, military sources said today.

At least 69 people were killed and 250 others were wounded by explosions after Saudi-led warplanes hit an arms depot on the outskirts of Sanaa, a medical official said on Tuesday.

At least 15 civilians were killed in explosions that followed an air strike by Saudi-led coalition warplanes on a missile depot in the rebel-held Yemeni capital, medics said.
