Massive jams were witnessed in many parts of the national capital on Thursday as the authorities barricaded roads, imposed traffic restrictionsand suspended Internet services to clamp down on protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act. The Delhi-Gurgaon border was among the worst affected.

A case has been lodged against Uttar Pradesh minister Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiya after the suspicious death of a witness in the infamous killing of police officer Zia-ul-Haq, police said on Sunday.

Gurgaon, the constituency bordering Delhi in the south, is witnessing a four-cornered contest. The BJP, Congress and AAP have all fielded Yadavs, while the INLD candidate is a Muslim.
