Yogi Adityanath On Loudspeakers

Loudspeakers at mosques in Uttar Pradesh have either turned down their volume or been removed, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Sunday and added the uninstalled public address systems are being donated to schools and hospitals.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday said action will be taken against officials in case complaints are received of unnecessary loudspeakers being installed and played loudly anywhere in the state.

In a law-and-order meeting review meeting last week, Yogi Adityanath had ordered special measures after the clashes in Delhi's Jahangirpuri, and also because the festivals of Eid and Akshay Tritiya are likely to fall on the same date next month.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Wednesday that DJs and loudspeakers will be allowed during the annual 'Kanwar Yatra' only if they play bhajans or devotional songs, not remixes and filmy songs.
