Youths Kill Driver

A 31-year-old taxi driver was arrested for allegedly killing a youth by stabbing him during a quarrel at Sarai Kale Khan in southeast Delhi, police said on Tuesday.

A 21-year old man was killed when a private bus ran over him just as he overtook it in a bid to pull up the driver after the vehicle allegedly brushed against his two-wheeler, triggering a protest by CPI-M and Democratic Youth Federation of India (DFYI) activists seeking action against the crew yesterday.

Addicted to drugs, three boys including a juvenile, turned killers for money, police said. Sunil Kumar alias Nandu (20), Monu Kumar (19) and the juvenile were arrested on October 12 for allegedly murdering a tempo driver, Pintoo Kumar, near Surya Vihar area of Kapashera October 8.

In yet another drunk driving case, an 18-year-old youth was knocked down by a car being driven by the employee of a private insurance company at suburban Juhu area of Mumbai.
