Samajwadi Party (SP) MLA from Bhadohi Zahid Beg's son Zaim Beg was arrested on Wednesday evening in connection with the suicide of a minor girl, police said here.

Uttar Pradesh's Bhadohi police and Labour Enforcement Department personnel on Tuesday raided Samajwadi Party MLA Zahid Beg's house here and rescued a 14-year-old girl engaged in child labour, officials said.

Of all the states going to polls in the next few days, the contrast couldn't perhaps be more stark than between Uttar Pradesh and Goa. One is the country's largest and most populous state, the other among the country's smallest.
