1 killed in fresh Kandhmal violence
Fresh violence has broken out in Orissa's Kandhmal district. One tribal was killed and 35 people, including 25 policemen, were injured in clashes in Raikia area on Tuesday. Police opened fire when a 500-strong mob of women attacked the Raikia police station demanding release 2 tribals arrested in connection with communal riots. Police sources said when the situation went out of control, the police had to resort to firing.
