10% import unlikely to have huge impact on Coal India: Experts
NK Jain, Vice Chairman, JSW Energy and Ashok Khurana, Director-General, Association of Power Producers discussed the impact of the Prime Minister's Office directive on Coal India. As per the directive, Coal India will arrange for supply of coal through imports in case of any shortfall in fulfilling its commitment under the fuel supply agreements (FSAs) from its own production. Jain told NDTV Profit that 10 per cent import is unlikely to have any huge impact on Coal India.
