New Tunnel To Open On Jammu-Srinagar Highway, Will Bypass Landslide-Prone Zone

The Panthiyal stretch on the strategic 270 Km Jammu and Srinagar national highway, the only all-weather road linking Kashmir with the rest of India, is a safety hazard due to continuous shooting stones and landslides. Authorities are now speeding up work to open the T-5 tunnel to bypass this landslide-prone belt.(Video credit: PTI)
