A CBI court in Delhi has found 17 Uttarakhand cops guilty of killing a 22-year-old MBA graduate in a "fake encounter" five years ago. The court has held them guilty of murder, destruction of evidence and criminal conspiracy. In July 2009, Ranbir Singh, an MBA student from Ghaziabad, was gunned down by the cops at Mohini Road in Dehradun. The cops alleged that he was part of an extortion racket.
