The Jammu and Kashmir administration has reopened Mughal road and Sinthan pass for normal traffic after closing them for nearly two years. The two vital road links connecting Pirpanjal region and Chinab Valley with Kashmir Valley were closed in the wake of abrogation of Jammu and Kashmir's special status on August 5, 2019. Since then, The historic routes were closed on the grounds of security and Covid protocol. The decision to reopen the road has come days after an all-party meeting on Jammu and Kashmir called by PM Modi.
