2 Setbacks For CBI In 2 Days: The Political Tremors
A day after a special court acquitted all the accused in the 2G scam, today the Bombay High Court set aside the governor's permission to prosecute former Chief Minister Ashok Chavan who was accused in the Adarsh scam. The verdict came on a day Rahul Gandhi addressed his first meeting of the Congress Working Committee, and the new party chief tore into the BJP saying their entire architecture is about lies. The BJP says the Congress's happiness is shortlived, since all these cases will go to a higher court.
