2006: Justice for Jessica
For once, justice delayed was not justice denied. Seven years after she was shot in a Delhi nightclub by the son of a Congress leader, NDTV conducted a nationwide campaign for model Jessica Lall. At the end of 2006, a previous verdict by the trial court acquitting the accused murderers was overturned by the High Court, and a sentence of life imprisonment handed out.
