2019: Modi-Fied Or Seat By Seat?
If there is one thing that most agree upon it is the fact that the 2019 election is a much harder election to read than 2014. On the ground, it veers between these two seemingly contradictory narratives: That this is a national election, a referendum on PM Modi, or is this 543 individual fights? Now some may say that even in 2014, the BJP's footprint was not strictly national: It won most of its seats in the North and West, and had a negligible presence in the South and East. But that said, this question of national vs seat by seat seems more urgent as we enter the second half of this election.
