When Telangana was born eight years ago, it inherited a shaky health system. Even if people managed to reach government hospitals on time, doctors and medicines were in short supply. Today, the situation is changing thanks to the government's ambulance services. Not only are medical services being brought to the doorsteps of elderly patients in remote areas, but these ambulances also take patients from their homes to hospitals and drop them back after treatment. Not only has this reduced the suffering of people in remote areas, it is also having a massive impact on the state's health indicators. (In partnership with Government of Telangana)
