25 CRPF Jawans Killed By Naxals: Time To Give Forces A Free Hand?
25 CRPF men have been killed in an ambush in Sukma in Chhattisgarh, the highest casualties in a Naxal attack since the Modi government took over. The prime minister has called the attack cowardly and deplorable and said that the sacrifice of the martyrs will not go in vain. The jawans were ambushed while sanitising the area for workers building a road. Survivors said an estimated 300 naxals, helped by local villagers, had surrounded them and they were completely outnumbered.
