26/11 Mumbai Attack Mastermind Tahawwur Rana Being Extradited To India | The World Report

Tahawwur Rana, the Pakistani-origin accused in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, is being flown to India on a special aircraft after exhausting all legal options in the U.S. Sources have said that the plane is scheduled to land in India either tonight or early tomorrow, with a refuelling stop en route. Rana's last-ditch attempt to block his extradition was rejected by the U.S. Supreme Court just days ago. He had cited multiple health conditions and claimed he'd face persecution in India, but the court denied his plea. Rana is a known associate of David Headley, a key 26/11 conspirator, and is believed to have links to Lashkar-e-Taiba and Pakistan's ISI. In February, President Trump and PM Modi announced that Rana would face the law in India. 26/11 survivor speaks with NDTV. Watch The World Report for the latest updates.
