3 Arrested For Murder Of Bastar Journalist, Special Team Formed
A special investigation team (SIT) has been formed to probe the murder of journalist Mukesh Chandrakar, whose body was discovered in a sealed septic tank on the premises of a contractor in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district on Friday. Three people have been arrested. The death of Chandrakar, who was a contributing reporter at NDTV, has sent shockwaves across the region and the journalism fraternity. The Press Club of India and the Editors Guild of INDIA have both demanded justice for Chandrakar and protection for journalists.
