50 Dead In Protests In Bangladesh, 200 Indian Students Return Safely
50 have reportedly died in student protests in Bangladesh. According to the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, all Indian national in Bangladesh are safe and MEA S. Jaishankar is closely monitoring the situation. The demonstrations began last month after the High Court reinstated a quota system, reserving 30 per cent of government jobs for family members of freedom fighters and veterans from the 1971 War of Independence.
