Nine new ministers, all from the BJP, will join Prime Minister Narendra Modi's team this morning, among them a former police chief and three former bureaucrats. There is no member of any allied parties, including the Janata Dal United, on a list of new ministers released by official sources on Saturday evening. PM Modi is also expected to rejig his cabinet, appointing a new defence minister and railways minister. A promotion to cabinet rank is expected for three ministers, sources said. The Prime MInister is expected to meet his new ministers for breakfast at 7:30 am, ahead of their oath at the Rashtrapati Bhawan at 10:30 am.
