India still has "unfinished business with its sovereignty", says author Hindol Sengupta, underscoring why Nehru and Jinnah continue to be invoked in political discourse. "Nehru and Jinnah come up in electoral rhetoric, but they also resonate...We still have unresolved border issue Pakistan, with China. The key questions of sovereignty are unanswered even today and that's why it resonates among some people and therefore politics will always bring it up," says the author.
