"Unfortunately, in this session, the BJP was never interested in a discussion... The last straw was while Amit Shah was addressing the debate on Constitution. That was not a good statement to make. It was very derogatory. A Home Minister should not be talking like this at all. If I would have been in his place I would have apologised. The whole country respects him (BR Ambedkar). As Home Minister that should have never been spoken. If it was an accidental slip, he should have said sorry and he should have apologised. Maybe that would have controlled the situation," Congress' Vivek Tankha told NDTV.
