A Nation Salutes Its Bravehearts
General Bipin Rawat and his wife, Madhulika Rawat, were cremated with full military honours at Delhi's Brar Square Crematorium on Friday evening. The cremation was performed by their daughters, Kritika and Tarini. As the flames rose, a 17-gun salute was accorded to Gen Rawat. Hours earlier, at the same crematorium, the General's top aide, Brigadier LS Lidder, was also cremated. Crowds lined the streets of Delhi, waved the national flag to honour General Rawat and his wife.
