Major political parties in Maharashtra are faced with a rebel issue as party workers, after being denied tickets, filed nominations in defiance of senior leaders' request for the November 20 assembly polls. This is posing a headache for both the ruling Mahayuti and the Opposition bloc Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA). The deadline to withdraw nominations ended at 3 pm today. So far the Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena candidate for the Mahim seat did not withdraw his candidature against Raj Thackeray's son, who had been assured support by the BJP. Sada Sarvankar has said he would not withdraw his candidature.
