Aadhaar Authority's FIR Over News Report Justified?

An FIR has been lodged against The Tribune newspaper and a journalist over their sensational report on anonymous sellers allegedly selling Aadhaar details through WhatsApp. The UIDAI says even though there was no leak of Aadhaar biometric data, it is an act of unauthorised access which is a criminal offence. The Tribune has issued a statement saying they will explore all legal options.
