Aadhaar: To Link Or Not?
If you are a mobile phone user or one who has a bank account, you may have been bombarded by messages and emails from your operator and bank asking you to link your Aadhaar number to the account. The government announced it is extending the deadline for this to March, however, the threatening messages continue. The petitioners say no coercive action can be taken till the top court decides on the matter. But will the coercion to link Aadhaar continue? Tonight on Agenda, we discuss the issue with Magsaysay Award Winner TM Krishna who has teamed up with rapper Sofia Ashraf for "The Privacy Song" on the issue. He tells us how his daughter was threatened that she will not be allowed to sit for an exam without Aadhaar.
