We look at a revolutionary idea floated by the Aam Aadmi Party government. It proposes a new advisory policy for all hospitals - which may become law- it has radical suggestions like how a hospital cannot hold back a dead body citing non-payment of charges. This we have seen in past cases, so may be a welcome addition but what may be controversial is how the government is telling hospitals, that if you have any follow up surgeries from the one the patient originally came in for, it has to be at 50 per cent of the cost. Tonight, on Reality Check, we discuss the radical idea with Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain.
