AAP shuns privileges: total change or tokenism?
The chief minister-designate Arvind Kejriwal has decided to give up Lutyen's bungalows, security guards and other special privileges that come with the job, setting a trend for the start of a new kind of politics: power for Aam Aadmi, the common man. Will this trend sustain and translate to transfer of real power and privilege for the proletariat on the ground or will it dissipate to tokenism or worse - disdain and intolerance for the rich?
