Adani Group's Colombo Terminal Commences Operations, Enhancing Capacity To Handle Large Vessels

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd (APSEZ) has started operations at Colombo West International Terminal (CWIT). CWIT, developed through a landmark public-private partnership, is operated by a consortium led by Adani Ports and SEZ. Along with leading Sri Lankan conglomerate John Keells Holdings PLC and Sri Lanka Ports Authority, under a 35-year BOT agreement. According to Adani Ports and SEZ, the CWIT project is a significant investment of USD 800 million. It will feature a 1,400-meter quay length and a depth of 20 meters, enhancing its capacity to handle large vessels.
