A few hours before the Air Force flight landed, three others - operated by Air India, IndiGo and Vistara - carrying evacuees from Afghanistan touched down at the national capital. The Taliban took effective control of Afghanistan last Sunday, after President Ashraf Ghani fled the country. "We were very scared when Taliban came to our building, they told us not be scared. The airport's condition is very poor. Local people with passport and visa are coming but other people with no passports are coming to the airport as well," said an Afghan refugee upon India arrival.
