After 8 days, truckers' strike gets over

The eight-day long nationwide truckers' strike finally got over on Monday after Union Transport Minister T R Baalu met representatives of the transporters. The minister said that truckers' grievances will be addressed with the formation of a committee. The nationwide strike saw a rise in prices of vegetables and shortage of essential commodities.
