Posters of France President Emmanuel Macron - whose defence of cartoons depicting the Prophet Mohammed and comments describing Islam as "a religion in crisis" have angered several Muslim-majority nations - were spotted pasted on the surface of a road in Mumbai's Muhammad Ali Road area on Thursday. Videos of cars and two wheelers driving over the posters and people walking over them have been widely shared online. Other videos shared show irate members of the Muslim community taking out marches to protest against Mr Macron's comments - with placards that read "Our Prophet Muhammad, Our Honour" - and one man hitting a poster of the French President with slippers.
