Agree With Writers' Protest, Not Their Method: Shashi Tharoor to NDTV
Taking a somewhat contrarian view to that of his party's on the writers' protest, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor says the Sahitya Akademi award is a "social recognition by the country" and "to return it because of what, I hope, is a passing phase of intolerance by one government and perhaps one weak-kneed Akademi at one time is I think unnecessary and unwise."
