It is a season of sacking one's own, even as both BJP and Congress look at addressing the problems of rebels and independent candidates in the Haryana elections. The Congress on Monday expelled 10 leaders for alleged anti-party activities for six years. Earlier the party expelled 13 other leaders for the same reason. The ruling BJP has also expelled eight leaders including former Cabinet Minister Ranjit Chautala in Haryana. Mr Chautala had resigned from his position after being denied a party ticket from the Rania constituency and filed his nomination as an independent candidate. Additionally, BJP leaders Devender Kadian contesting from Ganaur, Sandeep Garg who is contesting the polls from Ladwa against the Chief Minister and Naveen Goyal who is contesting as an independent from Gurugram have also been expelled.
