The key opposition in Tamil Nadu, the AIADMK, is holding a statewide protest against the ruling DMK on issues of price rise and corruption. The party has sought Chief Minister MK Stalin's resignation. The protests come at a time when the tomato prices breached the Rs 100 mark for a kilogram and two DMK ministers have come the radar of the Enforcement Directorate over allegations of money laundering.
