AIIMS caught in power struggle mess
The most well known hospital in the country, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) is in a state of emergency.The reason for the crisis is a bitter tussle for power between its Director and the Health Minister.In the last two years at least seven top doctors have quit. Almost every department is under-staffed, needs funds to expand and improve existing facilities.
