ISRO's Chandrayaan-3 mission was launched today from Andhra Pradesh's Sriharikota and it was a text book take off. The lander will now take nearly 42 days to complete its journey to the Moon where it aims to achieve a soft landing on the Moon's south pole. India will join an exclusive list of just three other countries that have managed a soft landing on the Moon - the United States, the erstwhile Soviet Union and most recently, China - if the mission is successful.
