Ajmer: Id celebrations a mute affair
After the recent blasts, for the first time in 800 years, ceremonial drums donated by the Emperor Akbar were not played during the celebrations. For centuries huge drums have bounded the traditional start of the Id celebrations at the Ajmer dargah but this time they remained silent to express solidarity with the victims of Thursday's blast.
